Who we are

Daily PFPs (dailypfps.com, “we”, “us”) publishes hand-picked profile pictures that anyone can download for free. The site is managed by Infinity Linkers. For anything in this policy, contact us at hello@dailypfps.com.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to dailypfps.com and to emails you send us. It does not cover other websites we link to, or platforms where you might later upload a picture you downloaded here — those have their own policies.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Emails. When you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in the message — for example a request, a takedown notice or a correction.
• Takedown notices. A copyright notice may include your name, organisation and contact details, and details of the work you own. We need these to act on the notice.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting server records technical details of each request: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs keep the site running and help us stop abuse.
• Security records. Our security tools record the IP address and time of failed sign-in attempts to the site’s admin area, to block password-guessing attacks. Ordinary visitors never sign in.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive information such as health data, government identifiers or payment details. There is nothing to buy on Daily PFPs.

How we use it

• To reply to your message and deal with your request, correction or takedown notice.
• To keep the site available, fast and secure — including detecting and blocking abusive traffic.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages are requested so we can fix errors.
• To meet legal obligations, such as responding to valid copyright notices.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not build profiles about individual visitors.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests to run and secure the website and to answer messages you choose to send us, and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or act on information — for example a copyright notice. Where we ever need your consent, we will ask for it first and you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Two small things are stored in your browser:

• Theme preference. If you switch the site between dark and light mode, the choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key dp-theme so it sticks between visits. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
• Administrator cookies. People who sign in to manage the site receive the standard WordPress login cookies. Visitors do not.

Service providers

We share the minimum information needed with the providers that make the site work:

• Web hosting and caching. Our hosting provider stores the site and serves pages from a cache, and processes the server logs described above.
• Google Fonts. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google’s font servers, which receive your IP address and browser details as part of that request. See Google’s privacy policy for how it handles this.
• Email. Messages you send us are stored by our email provider.
• Infinity Linkers. The agency that manages the site can access its systems to maintain and improve it.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our visitors or others, or in connection with a transfer of the website to a new owner, who would be bound by this policy.

How long we keep it

• Emails: kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, then deleted.
• Takedown notices: kept for as long as needed to show that the notice was handled.
• Server and security logs: kept for a limited period set by our hosting and security tools, then deleted or rotated automatically.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, the admin area sits behind a non-public login address with limited sign-in attempts, and software is kept up to date. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• ask us to correct information that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your information;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
• receive your information in a portable format.

California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To use any of these rights, email hello@dailypfps.com. We will answer within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Daily PFPs is made for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Pages on Daily PFPs may link to other websites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top of the page always shows when it last changed. Significant changes will also be noted on this page.
